More then just Rocky in the sticks

Sylvester Stallone is back the time he’s not playing Rocky. I saw a few clips of this show on

Instagram reels, which caught my curiosity. So I decided to check it out on Paramount Plus

with other hit shows like HALO.

I can’t judge a full streaming service by one show so let me tell you about it.

Stallone is Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a capo in the Mob Family that spent the last 25 years

in prison. Now that he is out he was hoping to be welcomed back into the organization with

open arms. The reality was a bit different he saw time go by while he was inside and treated like

he's almost been forgotten. So they do not have to look him in the face with shame they give

him a new assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They want him to go out there and make money the

mobsters do security, shakedowns, drugs, etc. So we got a fish out of water story only this fish

can knock a guy out in one hit.

The show gives you a great mixture of everything. It has its funny moments with his valet Tyson

or his weed shop owner or him just learning how Uber works. There are also moments of real

emotion. I haven’t cried on a Stallone project since Rocky 2. He's also very menacing it kinda

reminds me of someone.

The show is top-notch. The creator of Yellowstone Taylor Sheridan has another hit on his

hands. The show has been picked up for a second season which I'm grateful for. You noticed I

didn't give away the show because I want you to watch and feel what felt while watching.

Stallone hasn't skipped a beat he reintroducing himself in this one. I’m here for it seriously this is

one of the best shows on the app. I wouldn't be surprised if down the road there are awards in

the show's future. My first dose of the app was Halo Beavis and Butthead kept me hanging

around and I’m glad I did. Tulsa KIng is a knockout ( pun intended)
