Jessica Jones Season 2 Review!! By Corey Floyd

Jessica Jones Season 2 has wrapped up. It was a lot to take in. Jessica is the first Defender to return to their show I was curious what direction they are going. A lot of shows spends their second season going forward this one kinda goes forward but you have to go back.
The show returns with Jessica back at her craft catching cheaters and being an asshole. She also tightens her relationship with Trish. Meanwhile, she has dreams about her accident from her childhood.  Trish begins to investigate her past and uncovers that she was experimented on and that's how she received her powers. We find out that there are others who have abilities like this husky guy named Whizzer who was the speedster. Say his screen time was short he was killed off fast but he did leave a very good quote “With great power comes great mental Illness. “ Which in my opinion is way better than the original.  While they are trying to figure out who did it Will Simpson returns and now his strength enhancer is an inhaler and he tries to reconcile with Trish and Jessica but its cut short cause the mysterious killer strikes again. Jones tracks her down and finds out that the killer is her mom.

I was shocked too especially after that purple hint from the last trailer. There a lot of gray in this season. The labels that we give the characters become very fickle. Except for Trish's mom she a bitch.  There some very wild character arcs that take place this season and one that’s not so shocking. Looking at you Malcolm
People (mostly guys) don't get Jessica Jones and a lot of them say it’s not that great. Which goes to show you that Marvel really does need to switch it more cause when something new comes along it gets shun just for being different. I love Jones its a strong show with an interesting character. Out of all the heroes here is one that didn't want to be one in the first place. I am not gonna give up the whole show. But it is a deeper look into characters we thought we knew with a series of disturbing origin stories. I will say this at the end of it I actually understand why she is the way she is. I look forward to my next visit to Alias Investigations

. I give the show an 8.5/10. I assume The next Netflix Marvel Stop will be Harlem.
