Jack is Back!!! Samurai Jack that is.

By Corey Saltytruth Floyd

It was a long time coming but Samurai Jack has returned to cartoon network. If you follow us on Twitter (and you should) @Basick_D_B was live tweeting and for good reason.  Believe it or not, the photo in the article is Jack.

We are reintroduced to our hero looking like he is fresh off Fury Road sporting Samurai style armor and a motorcycle with spikes on the wheels. He takes out a few hundred drones with his machine gun and staff. Oh yeah,

HE LOST HIS SWORD!!!!

They haven’t gone in what happened to it exactly but the episode did cover one interesting aspect of the story. It has been 50 years since the last time we saw him yet he hasn’t aged a day and on top of that throughout the episode, he is haunted by visions of his family dying and calling to him for help it was really creepy.

But it still had its light side he took on an assassin robot that was voiced by a Sammy Davis Jr. ( google him if you don’t know what I’m talking about) that used music as a weapon. Fun, creative, as well as intense battle,  took place. We did not see AKU during the episode but I did heard his voice. The animation is slightly upgraded from the original.

You can see the details of each frame. By the look of the credits seems like 85% of the original team working on this I suggest you guys check it out. I won’t be going episode by episode on this but after the season it will receive the good, the bad, and the SALTY but so far so good.

Casting Thoughts By Corey Floyd

Recently John Boyega was seen at Marvel Studios and no one has heard anything since. My thoughts were in the air but an artist Boss Logic made something that got me thinking.   Now hear me out I know it sounds crazy but now that I see it in front of me it’s not crazy at all. We have seen the body transformations from Marvel before. John is in good shape but he’s not in Marve shape in a few months he could be the next Blade. Now I know there a few thousand of you out there yelling “Wesley Snipes is the only Blade blah blah blah “ I like Wesley I really do but at 55 I don’t see him moving like he used to and it’s time for younger blood. He wasn’t even moving like his old self in Blade Trinity.
I’m digging into Iron Heart again. Now a while back I had a few choices on the matter you can check them out here http://www.amerimewire.com/2017/05/whos-next-part-two.html but after watching Black Panther I have a new idea. What if Shuri became Iron Heart? It’s not a far-fetched idea. What if Sta…

Made in Abyss Discussion

BY LUIGGI CAVANNA The Final Episode
“This anime season was a little bit underwhelming”, those were my thoughts at the beginning of the season if I recall correctly. I did talk about three different shows of this season in my blog “The Anime Season So Far”, but let me say that “Gamers” didn’t quite recover after episode five, and “Tsurezure Children”, even though stay consistent, was still just a romance anime and if you are not into romance you were shit out of luck. So aside from two-day specials like “Owarimonogatari” or recurring anime like “Boku no Hero Academia” there wasn’t much out there, except for…

Of all the shows from this season, “Made in Abyss” was the one I waited for, every week, with the most anticipation. This show left such a mark on me that I have to talk about it, so I decided to create another segment like “The Anime Season So Far” and name it “The Final Episode”. In this segment, I’ll take a second look at one anime near the ending of a season, in which I’ll discuss…

BIG MOUTH!!! LOL ( Spoiler Free)

By Corey Floyd

About  a month ago I came across a trailer for Big  Mouth. It comes off as a cartoon about a group of kids hitting puberty. Which is sweet, awkward and Innocent. But then I heard that Nick Kroll ( The Kroll Show, the League) and John Mulaney I knew this was gonna be some wild stuff. This show is a very wild ride and I loved every minute. Let me break down why this is the show you need to see.
The cast consists of some of the funniest people on television. As I already mentioned Kroll & Mulaney are writers as well as two of the main characters Andrew & NIck. Jessi Klein ( writer for Inside Amy Schumer) plays Jessi ( I know right) a young woman who has just hit puberty and not sure what to do and you meet her her new friend. Missy voiced by Jenny Slate ( Bellwether from Zootopia) who is the most level headed of the group. Then you have the wild card Jay played by Jason Mantzoukas ( Sad sax guy from regular show,  Eagle wing Kroll show) he lives in a house of aggress…
